Bobbi has long been an artist and community advocate in Washington, DC. From the streets of the inner city to the White House, the District Building, to the halls of Congress and law offices, early childhood programs and public schools along the way, and then to the mountains of West Virginia, she's been a courageous, compassionate voice. Bobbi had the honor of working with Dr. Elisabeth Kubler-Ross, who was a pioneer in the hospice movement. She is grateful that the wisdom Elisabeth shared has been a touchstone over the last decade. Her mission is to promote quality services for every child and people who are dealing with grief, feeling isolated, and marginalized. She stresses the importance of evolving, believing that we are worthy, basically being the presence of light from cradle to grave. She has won numerous child advocacy awards, contributed articles on early childhood, and presented workshops across the country. She has also won awards for her work in theatre, including the Source Theatre Festival and Washington Women in Theater. She has appeared on both local and national broadcasts, including CBS's "48 Hours." Her work has been showcased at the National Theatre, the Kennedy Center, and the National Women in the Art Museum. She believes that we can ALL benefit by sharing the message that love overcomes hate.
