Produktbeschreibung
SPIRIT-EMPOWERED. In this seminal work, Dr. J. Randolph Turpin, Jr. presents the genesis of his approach to revitalizing Pentecostal ministry through the intentional integration of charismatic gifts. Originally written as a doctoral dissertation, this 20th anniversary edition documents the initial development of his prayer ministry training model.

Dr. Turpin addresses the concerning trend of nominal Pentecostalism and the infrequency of signs and wonders in many churches today. He proposes that a return to biblically-based, Spirit-empowered ministry will produce more authentic and effective results.

Key features of this book include:

The conceptualization of a training model for equipping believers in the use of spiritual gifts

Strategies for integrating charismata into prayer and altar ministry

Insights from two pioneering case studies in congregational settings

Preliminary results of healing, believer empowerment, and congregational renewal

Theological and biblical foundations for Spirit-empowered ministry

This anniversary edition includes a new preface by Dr. Turpin, offering updated perspectives and discussing how his understanding and application of Spirit-empowered ministry principles have evolved since this foundational work.

This dissertation serves as the cornerstone for Dr. Turpin's later, more developed works, including "Essentials for Spirit-Empowered Ministry" and "Living the Prophetic Life." While this book presents the original academic research and initial model, readers seeking a current, ready-to-implement approach should refer to these later publications.

"Spirit-Empowered" provides valuable insights into how congregations can cultivate a vibrant, supernatural faith that aligns with the New Testament model of church life and mission. It offers a unique glimpse into the academic origins of a model that has since been refined and successfully implemented in numerous contexts.

This book is ideal for those interested in the theoretical underpinnings and historical development of Spirit-empowered ministry models, as well as for scholars and practitioners seeking to understand the evolution of contemporary Pentecostal practices.
