Senentxu Lanceros-Mendez is Research Professor and Scientific Director of the Basque Center for Materials, Applications and Nanostructures in Leioa, Spain. His work is focused in the area of polymer based smart materials for sensors and actuators, energy and biomedical applications, with over 600 ISI papers and 12 patents in the field. Clarisse Ribeiro is Assistant Professor at the Department of Physics of the University of Minho, Portugal. She has more than 70 papers in high ranked journals, 5 book chapters, h-index of 27 and more than 2300 citations. Her current research interest is the development and use of electroactive materials for tissue engineering applications. Unai Silvan is Research Associate at the Basque Center for Materials, Applications and Nanostructures in Leioa, Spain. His work is focused on tissue engineering and cell-biomaterial interaction. Unai Silvan has published over 40 research articles and book chapters, which have received over 600 citations (h-index 14), and his work has been presented at over 60 national and international conferences.
