Autorenporträt

Robert Piper was born on February 6, 1965 on the island of Antigua, West Indies but his family relocated to St. Croix, United States Virgin Islands when he was five years old. He comes from a large family with five sisters and three brothers. From his youth, he has always been a hard worker. At age seven, he would work with his step-father doing facility maintenance and later learned plumbing and masonry while working on the construction of the family home. He obtained his GED from Clearfield Job Corp in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1980 and also completed courses in auto mechanics and culinary skills. When he returned home he met his first love and enjoyed a 15 year relationship which ended as a result of substance abuse issues. These issues led to several cycles of incarceration. During his last period in prison, he made a decision to turn his life around and started journaling, writing poetry and the manuscript for what would be his first published book. His determination to change his life and his hard work have paid off, he is now a successful addiction free individual with a positive outlook on life ready to share his knowledge and meet the challenges that the next chapter in his life may bring.
