Dorette Snover is the author of The Elysian Legacy series, where food, myth, and memory intertwine. Her works include Tales of the Mistress, a historical fantasy set in Renaissance France; The Bread of Dreams, a companion cookbook of recipes and portraits; and The Mistress of Apples & Bécasse, a modern tale of culinary legacy and transformation in Gascony. She often forgets to mention that she earned a BA in Home Economics Education (to please her mother), but she never forgets that she graduated from the Culinary Institute of America (to please herself). Founder of C'est si Bon! Cooking School in Chapel Hill, NC, Dorette has worked as a food stylist, NPR commentator, and culinary educator. Her storytelling stirs together ancient ritual, agrarian wisdom, and the magic of the kitchen, inviting readers to taste the legacy and awaken what was once forgotten.
