My husband, Shaine, has accepted the duties of executor of Eustace's estate, a West Virginia home that is a nightmare of tiny rooms, no closets, drafty hallways, and is set down in a hole . . . . with a fifty foot drop off in the backyard.
Sureevery mom wants to bring her kids to a place like that, right?
We've been married eleven years. For some time now, though, Shaine's been acting indifferent toward me. Seems the only time he needs me is when he wants me to play the hostess for him and his buddies.
Nothing different from Connecticut down here. Shaine's either taking care of Eustace's business or he's off someplace with his old friends and his brothers, More often, he just invites them all here, and I have to deal with them and our five bored and restless offspring.
I've had enough of it. Time to give him a taste of his own medicine!
Today!
Didn't know today was going to turn out anywhere near like it did. Not sure how to feel about it . . .
If you like stories about complex family issues and relationships written with heart and humor, you'll enjoy Thanks to Eustace. Download it today and learn what Shaine's been keeping from me.
