A tragic accident has robbed Alex of her memory. Her attentive husband is eager to fill the gaps for her. But the more he tells her the more she hates who he tells her she is. Determined not to remember at all costs and with the help of a young doctor with a head full of maverick theories and a very new stethoscope, she agrees to meet the mysterious fellow patient, Stranger. Together they begin to explore and enjoy the present, but it soon becomes clear that his memories won't stay forgotten with terrifying consequences for both them and the Doctor.

Autorenporträt
Sarah Jane Dickenson is a playwright and Academic. She believes passionately in bringing on the next generation of writers and has mentored and taught many who have become professional writers or involved in the business of creative writing, with some going on to gain national and international Theatre and Drama awards.

Memory, adaptation, and autobiography are at the centre of her playwrighting and academic practice however she considers dynamic focused and effective storytelling an imperative.

Sarah Jane works extensively in participatory and community settings. Her work is produced in a variety of contexts not only theatres, but places such as rugby clubs, community centres and prisons. She followed a degree in Drama and English, an MA in Drama and a PhD in Creative Writing. She is currently Head of the Department of English, Creative Writing and American Studies at Hull and is and has been a board member of significant regional and international theatre companies.

Sarah Jane lives in Yorkshire with her family.
