During this period of uncertainty and upheaval, I was fortunate to find refuge in neighboring Côte d'Ivoire, where I spent ten years rebuilding my life before resettling in the United States.

My time in Côte d'Ivoire was both challenging and formative. As a refugee, I learned the value of perseverance and adaptability, navigating life in a new country with different customs and languages. Despite the hardships, I was determined to make the best of my circumstances and focused on self-improvement and personal growth. This period of displacement taught me invaluable lessons about resilience, community, and the importance of faith, all of which have shaped who I am today, my name is Dennis M. Doboyouh, Jr.
