My journey has been a testament to resilience, faith, and the pursuit of knowledge. I was born and raised in Liberia, West Africa, a country rich in culture, tradition, and history. However, my early years were marked by the turbulence of the 1990 Liberian Civil War, which forced me and countless others to flee our homeland in search of safety. During this period of uncertainty and upheaval, I was fortunate to find refuge in neighboring Côte d'Ivoire, where I spent ten years rebuilding my life before resettling in the United States.
My time in Côte d'Ivoire was both challenging and formative. As a refugee, I learned the value of perseverance and adaptability, navigating life in a new country with different customs and languages. Despite the hardships, I was determined to make the best of my circumstances and focused on self-improvement and personal growth. This period of displacement taught me invaluable lessons about resilience, community, and the importance of faith, all of which have shaped who I am today, my name is Dennis M. Doboyouh, Jr.
