Lukas CJ Engelbrecht was born on 7 November 1956 in Kroonstad, Orange Free State, South Africa. In his 12 years at school he changes school nine times. After school he joined the South African Police Services and had a variety of jobs since.
He started writing poetry in 1982. Since then he wrote 802(2016) poems. He wrote a couple of articles and eBooks.
He adopted the name "Grandpa" on Pinterest.
