He is a figure of constant motion, his feet barely touching the diamond-paved paths of the heavens, forever chanting the name of Narayana. In his hands, he carries the Mahathi veena, a brass-studded instrument whose strings, when plucked, produce a sound that resonates with the literal heartbeat of the universe.
