Autorenporträt

Linda Lester lives in Fresno California. In 1993, she was deeply moved when two teen boys randomly shot and killed a 16-year-old student and her boyfriend. That tragedy inspired Linda to bring together a group of socially conscious individuals and organizations to encourage kindness as a way of life. They named the organization The Kindness Coalition. Youth organizations across the country celebrated a weeklong campaign, Kindness Week, by planning activities to promote random acts of kindnesssilencing the voice of violence. This message was heard around the world. In 1999, Linda was the invited guest speaker at the Singapore Kindness Movement. During this time, Linda began teaching inmates at the Central California Womens Prison how they could change their life through love and kindness. In 1997 she served as the project coordinator for SAVE, Stop American Violence Everywhere. She was part of a nationwide effort to increase awareness of the problems of violence and to emphasize grass root solutions to local problems related to violence. Linda is the founder of the nonprofit organization iMiracle. Her commitment is to expand the idea that every encounter one has can provide tools to lead away from a fear-centered life to one that is centered in service, kindness and love.
