Produktbeschreibung
Before the auction blocks, before the slave ships, before the chains-there were kingdoms, libraries, spiritual systems, architects, astronomers, and ancestors who remembered. The African Origins of African Americans takes readers on a transformative journey across time and space, uncovering the rich, complex, and too-often erased histories of African civilizations before slavery.

From the empires of Mali and Kongo to the sacred cosmologies of Yoruba and the science of the Dogon, this book challenges the myth that African history begins with bondage. In powerful, lyrical chapters, it reveals the cultural brilliance, spiritual depth, and ancestral resilience that shaped the foundation of the African American soul.

This is more than a history book-it's a reclamation. A restoration. A return.

Whether you are reconnecting with your roots or seeking to understand the deeper legacy of the African diaspora, this work invites you to remember who you truly are.

You were never just enslaved.

You were royalty, healers, builders, astronomers, artists, warriors, and wise ones.

And now, it's time to come home.

Chijioke Igbo is a Nigerian-born author, entrepreneur, and social activist whose work explores the intersections of African identity, diaspora experiences, and cultural resilience. Raised in Lagos, Chijioke earned a degree in history and philosophy from the University of Ibadan before moving to the United States to pursue graduate studies in international relations. His writing draws from both his experiences growing up in Africa and his observations of African-descended communities around the world.

As a thought leader, Chijioke has become a prominent voice in the African diaspora, using his platform to advocate for cultural preservation, social justice, and economic empowerment. His critically acclaimed debut book, Echoes Across Continents, reflects on the enduring ties between Africa and its global diaspora, blending historical narrative with personal reflections on migration, identity, and belonging.

In addition to his literary work, Chijioke is the founder of the Global Diaspora Network, an initiative dedicated to connecting African-descended people with business opportunities, cultural exchanges, and philanthropic efforts aimed at empowering communities across Africa and the diaspora. He is a sought-after speaker at international conferences and has contributed to several journals on topics ranging from Pan-Africanism to global development.

Chijioke currently lives in New York City, where he continues to write, mentor young African entrepreneurs, and build bridges between Africa and the diaspora.
