Autorenporträt
Judith Leibowitz was paralysed by polio from the waist down at the age of 14. With the help of intensive physical therapy, braces and crutches she eventually learned to walk again. In the early 1950s she went to London where she undertook courses with F.M. Alexander and then became a teacher in the Alexander Technique herself. She died in 1990.
