Where Are We Going?" is about an animal rights activist and a genius parrot, inter-species communication, and the dream of space, a great leap forward in several ways. Ken Liu's fiction has appeared in F&SF, Asimov's, Analog, Strange Horizons, Lightspeed, and Clarkesworld, among other places. He has won a Nebula, two Hugos, a World Fantasy Award, and a Science Fiction & Fantasy Translation Award, and been nominated for the Sturgeon and the Locus Awards. He lives near Boston with his family.

Judith Moffett was born in Louisville in 1942 and grew up in Cincinnati. She is an English professor, a poet, a Swedish translator, and the author of a dozen books in six genres. Her work in poetry, translation, and science fiction has earned numerous awards and award nominations, including an NEA Creative Writing Fellowship in Poetry, an NEH Translation Grant, the Swedish Academy's Tolkningspris (Translation Prize), and in science fiction the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer and the Theodore Sturgeon Award for the year's best short story. Two of her novels were New York Times Notable Books.

Kathleen Ann Goonan is a multiple Nebula Award-nominee and won the John W. Campbell Award for her novel In War Times. She lives in Tavernier, Florida.
