Ramona Melody was born and raised in Nebraska in the United States. A Midwesterner at heart, she still loves the Nebraska Cornhuskers, winter snows, and white Christmases. She is also a Caymanian citizen who loves her adopted home and thoroughly enjoys the blue skies, warm weather, tropical sea breezes, and amazing people. Ramona possesses a Bachelor of Secondary Education Degree from the University of Nebraska, a Master of Education Degree from Ohio State University, and a Master of Library Science Degree from Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts.

Ramona has worked as a professional teacher, education administrator, and librarian for over 20 years both in the United States and the Cayman Islands. She is committed to the cause of children's literacy and feels honored to be a part of a profession that actually helps shape young lives for the better.
