CANDICE LOCHMANETZ began her love affair with all things Pern. Travelled through Westeros, and many other lands. After many years of losing herself in mystical plots she brings her own version of the fabled beast to life. She looks forward to travelling further with her characters, with her second book of the Vendic Chronicles, The Birth. Deepening the bond that they all share, raising Dragonettes and falling more in love with the creature that has shaped her into what she is today. Candice was born and raised in Duncan, B.C., and now lives in Stony Plain, Alberta, Canada.
