Produktbeschreibung
A childhood friendship torn apart by war. A love nearly lost to darkness. And a fight to reclaim a future together.

Vienna, 1938 Christl and David are inseparable friends, sharing laughter and innocent dreams. But when the growing shadow of Nazi hatred forces David's Jewish family to flee to America, their lives are torn apart.

Years later, in a postwar Vienna scarred by memories and divided by occupation, fate brings them together again. David returns a soldier, a survivor... but broken, with no memory of the girl who once held his heart.

Christl refuses to give up on him. With patience, love, and the joyful innocence of their daughter Miriam, she fights to pull him back from the abyss of forgotten years.

A story of courage, healing, and the unbreakable power of love "The Boy I Never Forgot" is a moving tale of hope rising from the ruins of war.

Autorenporträt
Werner Stejskal is a romantasy storyteller who believes that love and imagination belong together. He only recently began writing in the genre but quickly became addicted to creating heartfelt tales where romance meets fantasy.

Rather than long sagas, Werner prefers stories under 10,000 wordstales that move straight to the heart without unnecessary fillers. His stories often draw on the atmosphere of Turkish soap operas, blending romance, fantasy, and emotion into short but powerful narratives. Most importantly, his characters always find their way to a hopeful and positive endingbecause stories should let us dream.

Werner was born in Vienna, Austria, and immigrated to Australia with his family in 1987. Now retired, he enjoys the serenity of the Australian lifestyle, which gives him the peace and inspiration to write.
