Autorenporträt
Nathan Dodge grew up in Dallas, Texas, and earned a BSEE, magna cum laude, from Southern Methodist University after receiving a Bell Helicopter scholarship. He went on to earn MSEE and Ph.D.EE degrees from The University of Texas, cum laude, and worked at General Dynamics and Texas Instruments before joining the faculty of The University of Texas at Dallas, where he taught computer-systems-related electrical engineering courses until retiring in 2020. Nathan began writing seriously in 2012 and has published stories in Purple Unicorn Anthology, Galaxy's Edge, and Grantville Gazette. He is primarily a novelist, with his Shadow Warriors young adult series, The Freedom Conspiracy, the Portals trilogy, the Subway trilogy, and I, One (soon to be re-released as AI, One by Top of the World/Novus Mundi). His latest series, starting with The Bureau, continues with Novus Mundi following the passing of his friend and publisher Eric Flint. Nathan is married to Faye Lynn King, Ph.D., a longtime Social Science professor and his copy editor. They have three daughters, including author Sharon, and five grandchildren. His background in computer engineering and years of teaching earned him multiple Best Teacher awards. In his spare time, he enjoys weightlifting, hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park, and solving crossword puzzles with Faye Lynn.
