Simon Rose is the author of The Alchemist's Portrait, The Sorcerer's Letterbox, The Clone Conspiracy, The Emerald Curse, The Heretic's Tomb, The Doomsday Mask, The Time Camera, The Sphere of Septimus, Future Imperfect, the Flashback series, the Shadowzone series, The Stone of the Seer series, An Untimely Death, and The Order of Excalibur novels. Simon is also the author of The Children's Writer's Guide, The Time Traveler's Guide, Where Do Ideas Come From? and many non-fiction books on a wide variety of topics.

He works as a writing coach, consultant, and editor for authors in all genres and for all age groups, has served as the Writer-in-Residence with the Canadian Authors Association, is a writing instructor at the University of Calgary, a story coach for the Alexandra Writers' Centre Author Development Program, an assessor for grant programs with Calgary Arts Development, conducts writing classes and workshops both in person and online, provides programs for schools, and offers a range of writing services for the business community including website content, social media postings, and copywriting.
