Donald Yates, born into a military family in Nashville, Tennessee, enlisted in the United States Army in 1982. Specializing in Field Artillery, he distinguished himself through dedication and service. Serving during the Iraq War from 2003 to 2004, Yates navigated conflict with courage and resilience, shaping his future endeavors. Post-military, he graduated Cum Laude from Washington State University in 2009. Yates, driven by his experiences, authored over 30 books, primarily focusing on military history pictorials. Through his writing, he immortalized stories of sacrifice and courage, honoring those who served.
