Clarence Redd is a Swedish writer, illustrator and game designer. He published his first tabletop roleplaying game in 2016. Since then, his games Odd Soot, Comae Engine and TREY have been international bestsellers. Several of his books have been translated to French, German and Spanish. In 2025, TREY won a Fenix Award for Best Solo Game in Sweden, together with the fantasy author Mattias Peterberg. Clarence's illustrations have been exhibited in galleries and art halls across Sweden. They create speculative worlds at the crossroads of science fiction, mystery and the 20th century. His illustrations have been published internationally in books and magazines since 2018. Among others, The Red Star written by the acclaimed Swedish roleplaying game designers Nils Hintze and Erik Hylander (Tales from the Loop, Vaesen, Symbaroum). With an eye for understated weirdness, Clarence's drawings often feature ambivalent moods and storytelling aspects, pulling the viewer deeper into the shadowy scenes.
