Autorenporträt
Born in Aghem-Wum in the Menchum Division of the Northwest Region of Cameroon, Calistus Abang is a remarkable scholar with two PhDs. He holds a PhD in Political Science specializing in International Relations from the University of Yaounde 2 in Cameroon and another PhD in Development Studies specializing in International Development and Diplomacy from Africa Research University in Lusaka, Zambia. He has also acquired numerous certificates in different fields, including Conflict Analysis, Peacebuilding, DDR, Human Rights, Diplomacy, International Humanitarian Law, Refugee Protection, Elections, Governance, Transparency, Peacekeeping, Security, and many others, from reputed institutions globally like the Peace Operations Institute (POTI) and the United States Institute of Peace (USIP). He has published and co-published numerous articles and books on various themes in peer-reviewed journals. Before now, he worked with Elections Cameroon, UNHCR in Cameroon, Somalia, and Zambia and lectured Human Rights, International Humanitarian Law, and Peacekeeping in universities in Cameroon. He is involved in numerous research groups across the globe and works as a mentor to several researchers. Currently, he works as an International Consultant and Research Reviewer at the Africa Center for Digital Transformation in Accra and as an External Supervisor at the University of South Africa in Pretoria, supervising PhD and Master's degree students in the Department of Public, Constitutional, and International Law
