Dr. Farid Younos is a retired professor of Cultural Anthropology of the Middle East and Islamic philosophy. He is the founder of Afghan Domestic Violence Prevention as well as the International Movement Against Child Marriages. He is an advocate of women's rights and the first Muslim American who declared men and women equal in Islam.
