These short plays, translated for the first time into Arabic by the contemporary English writer (Howard Parker): are distinguished by their condensation of their events to the point of being breathless, and by being drawn without exception to the mother model or protype, as is the case in (Before My Hand) and (And the Sea) by the Irishman (Sing). As for (Not Him), it is based on its mother model, which is Agamemnon returning victorious from the Trojan War and his death at the hands of his wife Kaltamsrna in the bathroom. The translator of the plays, Rabih Muftah, is distinguished by his interesting style and his honesty in translating and conveying the spirit of the text.
