Jeremiah Walker spends his days working on the family dairy farm. He is up early and crawls in bed exhausted. His older brother, Joel, returns to pick up some of his things and invites Jeremiah to join him in Washington DC to sightsee before Joel returns to Germany. Joel surprises Jeremiah by giving him his truck. But it comes with the condition that he spends time away from the farm, monthly. Joel wants Jeremiah to realize there is more to life than the farm.

Aimee Hampton and her classmates plan a hiking trip to the Appalachian Mountains during the holiday break. At the last minute, Aimee is the only one who can go, making the most of the trip. Wanting pictures of the sunrise, she goes out on the trail by herself. She slips on the damp trail, tumbling off the trail, losing her phone, and busting her ankle. Unable to walk or find her phone, she hopes that someone will hike the trail she is on.

Whitney Gayle grew up in rural America on a small family farm. There was always work to be done taking care of the animals, crops, gardens, or siblings. She often took books to the woods or barns and occasionally went up in a tree to have a few minutes to read. When she graduated from high school, she joined the Marine Corps for education and adventure. This is where she met and married the love of her life. While enjoying military life and traveling the world, they raised their family. Having been an avid reader her entire life and occasionally writing shorts, Whitney finally started writing in earnest after becoming an empty nester.

In her writings, Whitney combines real-life experiences with a splash of fantasy, a dash of mystery, and a budding romance. Her writing consists of YA, NA, and Contemporary Romance genres.
