Autorenporträt

Bistra Spasova was born in the town of Svoge, Sofia District, Bulgaria.

She worked for eleven years as a history and geography teacher at a secondary school.

She holds a Master's degree in Law and a Master's in International Relations and EU Law from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski." She also earned an inter-university diploma from the Institute of European Law in Nancy, France, and the Robert Schuman Institute in Strasbourg.

Additionally, she studied English at the British Council and Eurocentres in London, UK.

Since 2002, she has been a member of the Sofia Bar Association.

Bistra has also participated as a consultant in several episodes of national television programs.

Her first novel, Нестинарка (Nestinarka), was published in Bulgarian. The English edition appeared under the title Firewalker, followed by a revised version titled The Nestinarka To Dance on Coals.
