Elana Zaiman is the first woman rabbi in a family spanning six generations of rabbis. She serves as a rabbi and chaplain in a retirement community; a Wise Aging Facilitator (IJS); and an inspirational speaker, scholar-in-residence, and workshop facilitator throughout North America. Her nonfiction and essays appear in The Gettysburg Review, The Sun, Post Road, American Letters & Commentary, LivFun, and elsewhere. Elana lives in Seattle, Washington, with her husband and son.
