Produktbeschreibung
The Fourteenth Juror is a raw, unflinching memoir of survival, trauma, and transformation. Amy Louise Sortino was acquitted at trialbut her real sentence began afterward.

At just eighteen, postpartum and on house arrest, she endured incarceration, addiction, media vilification, and the crushing weight of a system that never asked who she wasonly what she had been accused of. But this isn't just a story of harm. It's a story of healing, truth-telling, and redemption.

From jailhouse motherhood to policy advocacy, Amy exposes the failures of mandatory sentencing, the cruelty of the commutation process, and the forgotten humanity of those buried under life-without-parole. Her journey intertwines with that of Claudio, the man she lovedand lostto the same courtroom that let her walk free.

With piercing honesty and unshakable resolve, The Fourteenth Juror calls readers not just to witness injusticebut to challenge it. Because sometimes, the real verdict comes after the courtroom closes.

For readers of Just Mercy, Solitary, and The Sun Does Shine.
