Jake is a US Marshal who changes his destiny to become a progressive rancher, develops a crossbreed herd, starts a large crop enterprise, and becomes an oil baron. Hannah is an old chicken farmer who becomes a writer of Western fiction and joins Jake in his many endeavors. There is plenty of action, shooting, intrigue, romance and interconnected by-lines.
