Autorenporträt
Der Autor Walter Rott wurde 1944 in Prag geboren. Nach dem Abitur studierte er Maschinenbau in Graz und ergänzte seinen Ingenieursabschluss 1973 um eine Promotion in den Technischen Wissenschaften. Von 1974 bis 1984 war er als Berechnungsingenieur in Erlangen tätig. Ab 1984 war er Dozent am Institut für Strömungslehre der Technischen Universität Graz. Im Rahmen seiner beruflichen Tätigkeit verfasste er zahlreiche wissenschaftliche Arbeiten, schrieb zudem eine Habilitation und veröffentlichte Fachbeiträge. Walter Rott ist verheiratet und hat zwei Kinder. Seine Lieblingsaktivitäten sind Skifahren und Bergsteigen.
