Father Malachi Martin invited Stephen Volk to his New York City penthouse in 1992. Stephen Volk had just returned from Paris with fresh research to be shared with Malachi. Volk's own Catholic family history was impressive, as his great uncle in Hamburg, Cardinal Volk, cast the deciding conclave vote for Pope John Paul I, assassinated 3 months later. This impressed a mindset in Volk which led to his meeting with Malachi Martin. (Later, after a sudden heart attack, Father Malachi Martin hastily wrote Volk a letter of encouragement, just before his heart operation. Subsequently, Pope Benedict XVI bestowed Stephen Volk with a formal Papal Blessing on his writings. "The Invisible Adversaries Trilogy" is the culmination of four decades of influence by Malachi Martin.
