In a household ruled by fear, Rodney Batchler Jr. clings to his childhood dream of becoming a basketball player, inspired by his favorite athlete on a black-and-white television. His father, Rodney Sr., has other ambitions for his sons, envisioning them as businessmen, lawyers, and doctors, and resorts to physical and mental abuse to enforce his will. Despite the oppressive environment and his father's relentless beatings, Rodney Jr. remains determined to pursue his passion for basketball. As he continues to defy his father's expectations, the tension escalates, reaching a breaking point that will test his spirit and resolve. Rodney Jr. is no longer mentally stable.
Rodney Jr. emerged as a mentally disturbed young man. On the court, he was the superstar, but off the court, he retreated into another world and was unable to control his anger, and sank into a depression.
