Produktbeschreibung
A heartwarming tale of courage, kindness, and becoming who you were meant to be.

Born different from the rest of his herd, a young horse named Spots dreams of running in the King's Race-a dream reserved for only the finest, most admired horses in the land. But when he's sold to a humble farmer named Mr. Levit, Spots' journey takes an unexpected turn. On the farm, he discovers the strength of friendship, the beauty of compassion, and lessons that reach far beyond the fields.

When Mr. Levit falls ill and hope seems lost, Spots must face his greatest challenge yet: running the King's Race not for glory, but for love. Drawing on all he's learned, he sets out to prove that true greatness is found not in appearance or status, but in the heart.

The King's Race is a moving story about perseverance, faith, and the quiet power of believing in who you are.

Autorenporträt
Dr. Levit is a real-life doctor and inventor who loves fixing things-from tiny cuts to big ideas! He's lived and traveled across Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas, meeting amazing people and discovering how kindness can truly change the world. When he's not helping his patients or teaching other doctors, Dr. Levit can be found writing stories, running alongside the ocean, or writing and singing songs for kids' charities. His first children's book, The King's Race, was inspired by his belief that every child has the power to shine through courage, friendship, and kindness-because the greatest race of all is the one we run with our hearts. Dr. Levit earned his B.A. in History and Literature from New York University (NYU). As a young athlete, he won silver in the Junior Olympics and in the International Taekwondo Championships in 1986 and 1990. Today, he is an Associate Professor of Dermatology at Columbia and Mount Sinai Hospitals in New York City, where he continues to teach and inspire others. His other books include The Lost Art (Reflections of a Dermatologist)-a Sherlock Holmes-meets-Chekhov collection of stories from his medical life-and Procedures in Cosmetic Dermatology: Surgical Lifting, a professional textbook published by Elsevier. His next children's book, The Princess and the Apple, will be released in 2026! As we say at @levitdermatology: Health and beauty is our duty. Heal with care. Live with courage. Lead with kindness. Be good, do good, say good, and may good come your way.
