I found an affinity for art at the age of five when I started coloring with crayons, I think we all start out that way, and I enjoyed everything art had to offer. As I grew older, I never felt more at home than sitting at a table with a pencil in my hand, and drawing whatever came to mind. Characters for short stories, learning to draw or shade, and even learning about the types of pencils and erasers. I loved art so much and cinematography that I took a few courses in high school along with sculpting and even in college. Although, my talent in art was lain with graphite pencils and the ability to mentally invert a black and white image. But with technology comes a lot more opportunities, specially the Wacom Tablet. A learning curve was needed when I started to use my Wacom Tablet as it is a one-to-one pressure sensitive little gadget. My hands are not the steadiest so even though I use it to sketch, I still resort to my mouse for crisp black lines. All of the illustrations come from my own imagination and I'm glad to be able to share that with everyone. Now I have upgraded to a Ciscle Stylus and a Fire Tablet with Medibang Paint as my new software hence the change in art style. Colander Lad is a personal endeavor as I believe he truly is my inner child and I hope that everyone of all ages finds enjoyment in his adventures and has as much fun as I did creating them. I am the sole illustrator and author of the The Adventures of Colander Lad and I hope to bring enjoyment to generations to come, no matter the age.
