Autorenporträt

Amber Gabriel is a Central Texas artist, author, and teacher. Scribbling since she was old enough to hold a crayon, she drew her first (unsanctioned) mural at the age of five, inspired by the eminent painters Glip and Glop of Richard Scarry fame. In order to keep an eye on her, Amber's artistic mother set up a canvas and easel on the dining room table. Since then, Amber has completed many commissioned artworks, including portraits and large outdoor murals. As her first mural was inspired by a book, it should be no surprise that she also writes medieval action-adventure romance and contemporary fiction for both children and adults. While most of her creative talent is focused on planning incredible lessons for her students, she still writes and draws as often as possible.
