Welcome to Golden Glen! This quaint little tourist oasis has it all. There's sightseeing, shopping, friendly people...and a few heartless murderers. No town is perfect. For Maiden Harlow, who has spent the majority of her 27 years there, Golden Glen was always a peaceful place. She loves sharing it with the countless tourists that pass through town each year, and her family's cozy and elegant inn, Harlow House, is renowned for its charm. But a spate of shocking murders, the first happening right in their beloved inn, turns her life upside down. Juggling the demands of running a small business, fielding increasingly complicated run-ins with the head of the local police department and dealing with some cold-blooded killers isn't for the faint of heart. Fortunately, Maiden quickly learns that her knack for solving murders is as strong as her ability to attract trouble. This set includes the first 3 books of the Maiden Harlow Mysteries, a perfect way to start off this fun and saucy series! While each mystery can be read as a standalone, they are best enjoyed in sequence.

  • Murder Checks Inn - Maiden's life gets turned upside down when a guest is found dead in their room. Throw in a suspicious new police captain, an inn full of suspects, and a bank robbery and Maiden's got her hands full.
  • A Fair Chance of Murder - It's time for Summerfest, Golden Glen's annual celebration of all things warm and sunny. But when a fractious travelling carnival hits town, the festivities are soon disrupted by threats, drama and murder!
  • Pretty Little Princesses - A high school reunion isn't everyone's idea of a fun time, add a brutal murder to the mix and you get a really disastrous trip down memory lane. Maiden has to deal with old bullies, a friend in peril and a sexy but reluctant Captain McAlister. Old scandals and new dangers collide in this deadly reunion.

If you enjoy cozy mysteries with a touch of humor, romance and danger, then you'll love the Maiden Harlow Mysteries. Grab your copy now!

Autorenporträt
I couldn't tell you how long I've been writing. The full-on pencil to paper stuff probably started around age 9 when I wrote a mystery about a hamster that stole money for housing materials. It was weird, but short. (The story, I mean. I honestly don't remember how tall the hamster was.)

But the earliest days were spent crafting alternate worlds and realities while sitting in the car listening to an odd mix of country, Motown, pop and classic 80s hair bands. There was the occasional injection of Bluegrass which is in my blood, apparently, but it was never my thing.

My serious storytelling began in my teens. Hidden away in my room for hours, I filled notebooks with handwritten stories. I was about 19 when I bought my first laptop. It was incredibly heavy and had all the aesthetic charms of a brick. It was awesome, and a huge step up from eraser marks, crossed out lines and doodles in the margins.

I write heroines that are smart, sexy and basically kind. All the things I want to be if I ever decide to grow up.

I love mysteries, romance and speculative fiction. I weave romance into pretty much all of my books, but I explore other relationships as well. Friendships and the various bonds within families are deeply important; I draw inspiration from my personal history and years of people watching.

I firmly believe that books are vital, our imaginations need to be protected and cultivated and boredom, in the hands of resourceful children, breeds creativity.

One of the most useful lessons I learned as a child was that if you're in a situation where you can't really conquer or surrender, stories give you the option to escape. Even if only for a few hours.
