Gary L. Bloomfield is the author, co-author, and editor of numerous books about WWII. An Army Journalist of the Year and a former civil servant himself, he is the former managing editor of Veterans of Foreign Wars magazine. Bloomfield has been interviewed by History Channel magazine and has appeared on CNN as well as various radio programs.
