Autorenporträt
Cathi Fleming is a retired primary school teacher from Kildare, Ireland, where she spent many years nurturing young minds before turning her own lifelong passion for history into scholarly pursuit.
A married mother of four and grandmother of three, she holds an MA in Local History. Driven by a deep curiosity for overlooked stories, Cathi was struck by a passing reference to four Irish women imprisoned in Ravensbrück Concentration Camp during World War II. This sparked six years of dedicated research - culminating in two emotional visits to the camp - and led her to the remarkable life of Kate McCarthy from Cork.
In her gripping debut novel The Nun of Ravensbrück, Cathi brings Kate's extraordinary story to light with sensitivity, insight and commitment to historical truth.
