Sanchez is retired Professor of Sociology and History, University of the Philippines Cebu, and refugee research fellow at the Deutsches Zentrum für Integrations- und Migrationsforschung (DeZIM-Institut) in Berlin, Germany under the Alexander von Humboldt – Philipp Schwartz Initiative for Scholars at Risk (SAR). Regletto Aldrich D. Imbong is Associate Professor of Philosophy, University of the Philippines Cebu. Matthew Ming-tak Chew is Associate Professor at the Department of Digital Arts and Creative Industries, Lingnan University, Hong Kong. Caroline M. Schöpf is Assistant Professor at the Department of Sociology, University of the Philippines Diliman.
