Mystery Writers of America Grand Master Bill Pronzini delivers a captivating new installment in the Carpenter & Quincannon series, The Paradise Affair. Set against the backdrop of early 20th-century Hawaii, this tale promises intrigue and suspense at every turn.

Quincannon's pursuit of two con men who have absconded with a considerable sum of his employer's assets dovetails nicely with Sabina's vision of a second honeymoon in paradise. Autorenporträt
BILL PRONZINI has been nominated for, or won, every prize offered to crime fiction writers, including the Grand Master Award from the Mystery Writers of America. Wasteland of Strangers was nominated for best crime novel of 1997 by both the Mystery Writers of America and the International Crime Writers Association. It is no wonder, then, that Detroit Free Press said of him, "It's always nice to see masters at work. Pronzini's clear style seamlessly weaves [storylines] together, turning them into a quick, compelling read." He lives and writes in California with his wife, crime novelist Marcia Muller.
