Corporal Charles Lott is an ex Cynosure Drop Corps marine with a special ability. He can manipulate the probability field

underlying our universe: the Plex. On a remote world out on the rim of the Umbra Stars, Charles finds respite from his past

as a Hadron Corporation lab rat, and the atrocities he committed in the galactic Cynosure's name. He's built a decent life

living on the streets of Carallon IV with his companions Ilias and Kadun, and enjoying the bliss of being left alone.

But the Plex and Hadron aren't done with Lott.

When Hadron security agents kidnap them, they are plunged into the middle of an alien invasion from outside our galaxy.

Lott realizes his dream of ignoring the Plex and being left alone will have to wait as he must work with his old enemies to

discover the alien's intent and stop them. As he balances navigating a way without the Plex, Lott uncovers corporate

plots, traitors, and love. He can only hope to live long enough to save the galaxy!

Autorenporträt

William was born in the depths of rural Ohio. After being kicked out of every university he attended, he became a self-taught technologist and escaped to the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. He lives in his hilltop castle with his wife, 3 neighbor's cats, and a yard full of deer.

By day, William designs and fixes complex systems for a Fortune 500 company.

In his off time, he writes novels and attempts to write short stories if he can contain the words. He enjoys gaming with friends, his jeeps, a few beers, and amateur discussions about the existential consequences of quantum physics.

A technology and worldbuilding expert, he's a novice bow maker and a tomahawk weirdo. He considers himself lucky enough to still (after 47 years) be playing AD&D with a good group of friends.
