Autorenporträt
Henry Kuttner was an American author known for his contributions to the genres of science fiction, fantasy, and horror. Born on April 7, 1915, in Los Angeles, California, Kuttner gained recognition for his imaginative and innovative writing, which often blended speculative fiction with elements of psychological complexity. His works are characterized by their exploration of strange worlds, alternate realities, and moral dilemmas. Kuttner's career, though relatively short, left a lasting impact on the genre, and he is often remembered for his collaborative work with his wife, fellow writer C.L. Moore. Together, they co-authored numerous stories and shared a deep influence on each other's writing. Kuttner's notable works include The Graveyard Rats, Hydra, Robots Have No Tails (1952), The Best of Henry Kuttner (1975), and Elak of Atlantis (1985), which showcase his versatility and ability to craft compelling, otherworldly narratives. His stories frequently featured themes of alien encounters, artificial intelligence, and the complexities of human nature. Kuttner passed away on February 3, 1958, at the age of 42, in Los Angeles, California, but his legacy endures through his influential works in speculative fiction.
