These personal accounts are supplemented by research from psychology, sociology, economics, and related fields examining changes in young adult well-being over recent decades. This research provides context for individual experiences, identifying systemic factors influencing personal struggles.

My own perspective shapes this work as well. As someone who has navigated many of the challenges described here, I bring both personal experience and professional study to this exploration, while my direct experience with these issues shapes the questions asked and perspectives highlighted.
