The story unfolds through three narrations, each from a key figure who shaped and possibly sabotaged the uprising that shook the regime. Finally, we are presented with the record of a bureaucrat, an insider who moves behind the scenes. While their statements may align at times, their motives don't match. Their confessions reveal a tangled web of aspiration, manipulation, ambition and moral decay at the heart of what was supposed to be a revolution for justice.
