Arthur Schopenhauer (1788-1860) is now recognised as a figure of canonical importance to the history of philosophy. He has published work on a range of topics in Schopenhauer's philosophy, including political philosophy, sexual ethics, boredom, punishment, and pessimism. Timothy Stoll is Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the University of Warwick, UK. He works on a variety of figures in post-Kantian philosophy, including Nietzsche, Schopenhauer, and Schiller.
