Taking a shortcut back through an isolated and lonely park, Jay encounters a series of increasingly menacing snowmen. Unknown to Jay they are the trapped souls of children all lured to the demise by a mysterious ghostly spectre who feeds off their energy. It is Christmas and the Spectre is hungry and sees Jay as his present. The Silence Fell is a short story of 3,100 words.
