Produktbeschreibung
The oracular book entitled "Yi Lin" (literally, "The Forest of Changes") comprises 4,096 dodecagrams and an equal number of verses, each explaining its meaning in the song-poetic form of ancient poetry. The verses accompany combinations of doubled 64 hexagrams from the Book of Changes (Yi Jing), known as "dodecagrams."

This edition, built on the metaphorical concept of the Jade Box of the Forest of Changes (Yi Lin), reveals the full content of Yi Lin through the compilation of the Small Circle (512 core dodecagrams), the development of which was first undertaken in Yi Jing studies by the author of the present publication.

The Yi Lin is a poetic instigator of freedom. Therefore, its philosophical nature is unsettling for the powerful of the world. It is more suitable for a sage-hermit, poet, military leader, or strategist than for an ordinary bureaucrat in government service. The Han dynasty saw the rise of popular wisdom, or the poetry of change, which was associated with the names of Jiao Yan Shou and Cui Zhuan. It was, without a doubt, a product of collaborative creation.

Besides the fact that this book is for those in whom a silent poet lives, divining on the sacred yarrow stalks, it will also be helpful for readers interested in issues of strategic planning and forecasting, as outlined in the oracular books of Yi Jing, Tai Xuan Jing, and Yi Lin so far.

Autorenporträt
Alexander Goldstein, a graduate of the Far-Eastern University in Sinology, lived and worked in mainland China for a period as a translator/interpreter, a manager, and a martial arts' practitioner. A certified instructor of 'Chang-quan' (external-style boxing) and 'Taiji-quan' (internal-style boxing), he is a lecturer of Chinese culture and traditions at the Open University in Tel-Aviv. He also is the author of Lao-zi's "Dao-De Jing," Chan (Zen) masters' paradoxes, "The Illustrated Canon of Chen Family Taiji-quan," a Chinese novel and some other editions, which are available in print and electronic publishing at most online retailers published in English, Spanish and Russian. What makes his books so appealing is profound analysis and authority with which various strains of the vigorous Chinese culture are woven into a clear and useful piece of guidance for a business person who conducts the affairs with far-eastern counterparties and for a counsellor who develops strategies that enable leaders to position their organisations effectively.
