Rezensionen
First published in 2002 as a review of empirical literature on the social and emotional needs of gifted children, this text serves as the only comprehensive summary of the research conducted by recognized authorities and is often used in graduate Gifted Education classes.

This edition contains much of the same information as the prior edition with additional information on psychosocial variables as predictors of high performance, a focus in each chapter on diversity issues, and a new publication template.

Each chapter is clearly labeled so that the reader can go straight to the section of their interest. For example, there is a chapter on Gifted Underachievement that can be read as a standalone. This feature by itself makes this text a valuable resource for educators of the gifted or higher ed students in gifted education classes.,Tracie Bell-Moon,MiddleWeb, 1/28/16
Much more than just a compilation of resources, The Social and Emotional Development of Gifted Children highlights essential research on the social and emotional well being of gifted young people.,Davidson Institute for Talent Development, 10/1/15
