His boss, a powerful witch named Xavier Braeburn, however, questions nothing. The orders from his demonic master are clear: recruit Tristan Clearwater or kill him, all the while continuing the master plan.

While Sebastian searches for the book, Tristan undergoes training to master his power, and Ash takes on a precarious position trying to play both sides. Then, Tristan uncovers affecting the lives of thousands of people in the city.
