Autorenporträt
Jay Lake is an American science fiction writer, born June 6, 1964. The son of an American diplomat, he was raised in a variety of countries overseas, leaving him with an abiding interest in exotic settings and cultural complexity. One of the most prolific new writers of the decade, Lake won 2004’s John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer. His novels include Mainspring (2007), Escapement (2008), and, forthcoming in 2009, Green. The world of Green is also the setting for his Tor.com story “A Water Matter.”
